Missing API Key

Use this page if the API Keys page shows No API Keys Yet, or you expected a key to appear after choosing a plan.

Symptoms

You may see:

  • No API key in the dashboard.
  • No key available in API Testing.
  • A message asking you to activate a plan first.
  • A paid checkout completed, but the key is not visible yet.

Likely Causes

Common causes include:

  • You are signed in, but no plan has been activated.
  • You have not clicked Get Started Free for the Free plan.
  • Paid checkout has not completed.
  • Paid checkout succeeded, but provisioning has not finished yet.
  • You are signed in with a different account than the one used for checkout.

Signing in alone does not automatically create a Free plan or API key.

How to Check

  1. Open API Key Management.
  2. Confirm whether any API key cards are listed.
  3. Open Managing Subscriptions.
  4. Confirm whether an active plan is shown.
  5. If you used paid checkout, confirm that Stripe returned you to the dashboard successfully.

How to Fix

If you do not have an active plan:

  1. Open Managing Subscriptions.
  2. Choose the Free plan and click Get Started Free, or choose another available plan.
  3. Return to API Keys.
  4. Refresh the page.

If paid checkout succeeded but the key is still missing:

  1. Refresh the API Keys page.
  2. Wait a few seconds and refresh again.
  3. Confirm you are signed in with the same email used for checkout.
  4. Contact support if the key still does not appear.
