Stripe Checkout
Stripe Checkout is used for paid self-serve plan activation when a plan requires payment.
Free plan activation may happen directly in the dashboard without going through Stripe.
How Paid Checkout Works
The typical paid checkout flow is:
- Choose a paid plan in the dashboard.
- The dashboard redirects you to Stripe Checkout.
- Complete payment in Stripe.
- Stripe redirects you back to the Custodian Labs dashboard.
- Custodian Labs activates the subscription and provisions API access.
After successful payment, you may be returned to the API Keys page so you can copy or verify your key.
What Happens After Payment
After a successful payment, Custodian Labs should:
- Record the transaction.
- Activate or update the subscription.
- Set the current plan cycle.
- Provision usage credits and request limits.
- Generate or update the related API key.
In most cases this happens automatically.
If the Key Does Not Appear Immediately
If payment succeeds but the key does not appear immediately:
- Refresh the API Keys page.
- Check the Subscriptions page for active plan status.
- Wait briefly and refresh again.
- Contact support if access still does not appear.
Do not create a second paid checkout session unless support asks you to.
Canceled Checkout
If you leave Stripe Checkout before completing payment, your paid plan may not be activated.
Return to the Subscriptions page and start checkout again if you still want the plan.
