Plans
Plans define which Custodian Labs features, usage credits, request limits, and support level are available to your account.
This page explains plan concepts. To manage a plan in the product, use Dashboard: Managing Subscriptions.
Available Public Plans
Custodian Labs may offer these public plan paths:
| Plan | Best for | Typical behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Trial, sandbox testing, early evaluation | Limited monthly usage and one API key. |
| Insider | Individual development, heavier testing, early production usage | Higher monthly usage, more requests, and priority support. |
| Custom / Enterprise | Production teams, regulated workflows, custom deployment needs | Custom limits, support, compliance, and deployment discussions. |
| BYO Key | Future self-managed model-key workflows | Coming soon unless explicitly enabled in your dashboard. |
The exact plan cards and limits shown in the dashboard are the source of truth for your account.
Free Plan
The Free plan is designed for trial and sandbox usage.
Use it when you want to:
- Confirm the dashboard works.
- Generate an API key.
- Test text or file de-identification.
- Try the API before a paid plan.
The Free plan is usually activated directly from the dashboard without Stripe checkout. It provides limited monthly usage and request capacity.
Insider Plan
The Insider plan is designed for users who need more room than the Free plan.
Use it when you want:
- Higher usage limits.
- More monthly API requests.
- Priority support.
- Access suitable for deeper integration testing or early production workflows.
Paid plan activation may redirect through Stripe Checkout before returning to the dashboard.
Custom / Enterprise
Custom or Enterprise plans are for teams that need terms beyond public self-serve plans.
This path may be appropriate for:
- Large usage volumes.
- Dedicated support or SLA needs.
- Private cloud, on-premise, or offline deployment discussions.
- Custom compliance requirements.
- Custom integrations or onboarding.
Use the Contact Us option in the dashboard when a standard plan does not fit your use case.
BYO Key
BYO Key should only be treated as available if it appears as an active option in your dashboard.
If it is marked as coming soon, it is a future plan path and should not be used for current integration planning.
Choosing a Plan
As a rule of thumb:
- Choose Free for trial and validation.
- Choose Insider for individual development and higher-volume testing.
- Choose Custom / Enterprise for production teams, compliance-heavy deployments, or custom infrastructure needs.
